The Sensational Amy

Last night I attended the 2nd Annual Hampton Roads Top 20 Sensational Singles charity auction.  Singles from the Hampton Roads area were nominated and 20 were chosen and featured in the Hampton Roads magazine.  Those 20 were the featured guest at last night's charity event where the highest bidder would win a date with one of the 20 (all proceeds going to charity).   I am proud to say that I have know the recipient of last nights highest bid since she was 16.  Amy has come a long a way and is proof that perseverance, hard work and never giving up pays off.  We've all hit bumps in the road or even at times been hit by a mack truck and Amy is no exception.  When Amy I met she was 16 and we both worked as employees at a video store.  I immediately noticed she had a work ethic that smoked most 30 year olds.  She was promoted at least once a year and before she left the company she opened and managed the chains showcase store.  We lost touch for a while but reconnected a little over a year ago.  The little skinny girl from Tennessee came back to area as a grown 6 foot glamazon (6'3 in pumps) and now she's handling her business.  Amy is the representative for Red Bull in the Hampton Roads area.  When you're in a restaurant, bar or any other establishment that serves Red Bull she's responsible.
Now from the pictures you can see that Amy is a very attractive woman and true to form like most beautiful women she doesn't see it and at times is down on herself.   I like to watch people and last night I watched people watching her; and all night men and women paid attention to the 6'3 glamazon in the just short enough dress with the flawlessly made up face, Mac of course.  As the bidding opened she got nervous because within the first hour she had no bids, later a couple of bids but not on pace with some others.  Towards the end of the night a few more bids (in the triple digits) but not what she was hoping for. The mid part of the evening the 20 were introduced and it was back to bidding.  Thats when it got interesting.  The picture that Amy took for the magazine did not look like the lady in these pictures.  A few men immediately went to the bidding tables and placed bids.  After it was all said and done the highest bid of the evening, $835.00 for the 6'3 glamazon in the just short enough black dress and flawlessly made up face, Mac of course.

The Bible says that God will restore what has been stole from you at least 7 times, I'll take 835 any day.
