I have a new bitchy, oops guilty pleasure, Cashmere Mafia. Cashmere Mafia is a new show that airs on ABC Wednesdays at 10PM Eastern Standard Time. The unavoidable comparison to Sex & The City in this case is fine, same executive producer, creator and a few of the same writers. Bringing the feel of a unrated cable show to network television (even in the 10PM time slot) is a challenge for even the best production team. Well the Darren Star team pulled it off. Like Sex and The City each character is you, someone you know (or want to be) or one of your friends and thats the key to success with these shows, identification. The target audience for Cashmere Mafia is women and gay men (DUHHHHH) and both audiences so far should be satisfied. These are powerful, successful, well paid, glamorous women who communicate vis Blackberrys, Razr's & Blackjacks and underneath it all are mess just like the rest of us. Trying to balance family, relationships and careers is the universal theme and no matter your armor everyone can identify. Normally cashmere makes me itch, but in this case I'm glad I gave it a try and I cant wait to put it on again.

I think this is supposed to be the female version of "Big Shots," another ABC drama about a foursome trying to balance careers with personal lives, except it's four men.
Regardless, I like this version better! And I call being the Lucy Lieu character!!

You psycho this is Sex and The City PG-13. Same writers, producers and even the same stylist. Oh Jefferey you're so sick you can't see it. Get better soon, PLUHEAZE!!! And the verdict is out on you being Lucy Lu. I thought of you as the character who asked for the referral for the apartment or the one who's never been in a real relationship and is now playing for the other team. I already know who I am, the red head.....
