Only In New York: The People You Meet
The past weekend has reminded me why I love New York. You never know who you're going to meet. Jason and I went to my favorite restaurant in New York (so far), Dallas BBQ. They have the best Rotisserie Chicken and Margaritas, I've ever had. Not to mention that you can 2 full meals from there for 9.99 that includes two 1/2 chickens, cornbread and serving of rice (or another side I think). This time I got the chicken wings, OFF THE DAMN HOOK. But anyway we sat down next to two women and within in 3 minutes the four of us were chatting like we'd known each other for years. Relationships, sex, food and anything else that the TEXAS sized Margaritas brought to out minds. Honestly the conversation with them was as good and the wings! Today I went with a new friend to pick out some things decorate his apartment. The best part of that was the conversations that we had. For me it's always nice to meet people who can hold conversations and people who will say ANYTHING, we get along just fine. Could I have met these people other places, maybe, but New York brings it all together. People have always said that New Yorkers weren't friendly, that they were rude, unapproachable and mean but so far thats not true for me. Am I naive enough to think that New York is Utopia, NAWT! New Yorkers are REAL and say whats on their minds and in some cases it can be rude. But rudeness isn't the intention, the intention is to get the point across, short and sweet, no sugar coating and I LOVE IT!
